Radiography Preceptor Full Time Day
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Program Director, the Radiography Preceptor is a Radiologic Technologist who coordinates, plans, directs, delegates, and supervises clinical education for the Radiography Program students. The Clinical Coordinator will also provide direction and guidance to the Preceptor.
EDUCATION:
� Graduate of a JRCERT accredited program in Radiography � Holds current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification � Licensed Radiologic Technologist by the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection
EXPERIENCE:
� Documents two years� clinical experience in the professional discipline � Previous teaching or instruction experience strongly preferred � Is proficient in supervision, instruction, and evaluation � Experience with PACS, EMR/RIS
SPECIAL SKILLS:
� Maintains current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association� Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and vascular systems� Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented. � Ability to perform tasks accurately and with attention to detail, changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. � Ability to function independently and competently in stressful situations and changing work environment related to changing patient needs. � Ability to work cooperatively within the health-system, and with patients, family members, co-workers and multidisciplinary team members.� Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities and respond quickly to emergency situations. � Ability to use analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively problem-solve.
