Functional supervision of the Specialty Care Transport Department, Ensures all patients meet prescribed medical necessity for transport based on Medicare standards, and review and complete transport paperwork. Utilizing MediTech evaluate patients with pre-determined discharge dates for Mobile Integrated Healthcare visit eligibility. Schedule and provide guidance to Mobile Integrated Healthcare Team. Assist with registering and coding MICU/SCTU patients in times of high volume.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE:
EMS, scheduling, and/or case management experience preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Highly organized with strong interpersonal skills including written, verbal, and phone communications. Proficient in software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Meditech. Familiar with Medicare and managed care billing requirements. Ability to work with minimal direct supervision. Ability to effectively interact with customers to meet their needs. Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to customer’s needs.
